The Area

Languedoc-Roussillion

Uzès is a beautiful town in the Gard region of Languedoc-Rousillon in Western Provence. Many of the buildings date from the 12th century and have been carefully restored in recent years. The pedestrianised town centre is circled by a one-way "boulevard". The town is well supplied with shops and restaurants. There is a cinema, tennis courts, etc. The lively market on a Saturday takes over the whole town and is one of the best in the South of France.

Over the years Uzes’ beauty has attracted large numbers of artists, painters, sculptors and photographers. Evidence of this can be found in the various art galleries. Uzes has also been a source of inspiration for writers and actors who have given the town a rich cultural life.

Flights from London Stansted, London Luton and Liverpool with Ryanair into Nimes (only 30 minutes from the property) and Montpellier. Flights from London (Gatwick) to Montpellier and Marseilles or flights via Paris to Nimes. British Airways into Lyon. Southampton to Perpignon (2 hours drive from the property) and Southampton to Avignon with Flybe.

Details

The cost of your holiday is per week inclusive of linen and towels, and central heating in the winter. Nightly rate is 1/7 pro rata of the weekly rate. Breakfast available at 5 Euros per person per day. Light supper dishes available from 15-25 Euros per dish serving up to 4.
